Two things have directly contributed to the demise of my personal blog (the page you’re currently reading): 1) Twitter, 2) My movie review blog. Twitter, because I update much of what is going on in my life on there in pithy capsules, and my movie review blog, because I simply devote more time to it, and having done so, don’t feel it compulsory to update this one. Additionally, my movie review blog is so focused that it’s “easier” to update, since I always know what I’m going to be writing about: the most recent movies I’ve seen. Here, it’s more “difficult” due to the simple fact that I’m not sure what to say. If I had a more parochial approach, that might ameliorate the situation. Suggestions are welcome.
I have even toyed with doing this site over again and just creating a kind of “nucleus” or “hub” where you can find all-things-Neal-Tucker, my social news feeds, my pictures, a little about what’s going on in my life, my movie reviews, links to my other sites, etc. That’s what I had intended with this one, but it hasn’t played out like I wanted. As you can see, I’ve got my social-feed on the right, as well as pictures, etc. But what I would really like is for it to be more streamlined, a site that, given the desire to know something about my current state of being, you could just check out my site: nealtucker.org.
Right now, this is the best I’ve got. I’m very much mulling over doing another complete overhaul and remodeling everything. And by remodeling, I mean planting some dynamite at the base of the building that is my website and causing a massive implosion. Then, I’ll rebuild my site the way I want it to look. Whether I end up doing that or not, time will tell.
In the meantime, here’s a few notes of interest from the life I am currently living, oh so pensively.
- I am in a show at the Right Brain Project. Check out their site, and there are some reviews, too, if you’re interested, at Chicago Reader, and a handful of others.
- I will be in Birmingham in September. I want to see everyone. What do I mean everyone? EVERYONE!!!!
- I am occasionally oikotropic.
Talk soon,
Neal
